It will soon be over. We will get a break from all the political ads, the mail pieces, and the unwanted text messages. The polls are open and it’s time to vote!
It’s become cliché but we all know it’s true. Your vote is your voice, your power, and your right. It belongs to you and no one else. By casting your ballot, you’re making sure your voice is heard in shaping the future of your schools, community, state, and country. Here is some information on how and where to vote, and resources if you have any issues at the polls.
It’s also true that our voting process is secure, and every vote is counted fairly. But it’s important to remember that none of this happens without the dedication of our poll workers. They work long hours to ensure the process runs smoothly. They are the unsung heroes of our democracy, standing on the front lines to make sure your vote counts.
So, when you go to the polls to cast your vote, be proud of placing that “I Voted” sticker on your chest – and remember to thank a poll worker.
