My internship at Lents Mazur & Associates was my first professional experience in my career journey. I’m proud of not only what I’ve accomplished but everything that I’ve learned along the way. At SLU, I was unsure about what I wanted my concentration in business to be once I graduated and joined the workforce, but now I’m happy to say that I want my future to be in the Public Relations industry.

I have had the utmost privilege of working with some amazing clients in my 15-month internship – learning about their inspiring missions and helping them give back to their communities. I had the opportunity to receive hands-on experience developing my skills in strategic communications, public affairs, association management, and media relations. 

The client that had the most impact on me personally was the St. Louis Dental Center, a unique partnership between A.T. Still University – Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) and Affinia Healthcare. Seeing how my contributions as an intern have a positive impact on helping those in need was incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. Spreading awareness about ATSU-MOSDOH’s services and resources for those without access to oral healthcare has a direct impact.

Looking back on my time at this firm is bittersweet for me; while I’m excited for my career journey to continue, I know I will also miss this amazing team of professionals at Lents Mazur & Associates.
